You can tell a lot about someone by the type of music they listen to. Hit shuffle on your iPod, phone, iTunes, media player, etc. And write down the first 10 songs. Then pass it on to 10 people. One rule: no skipping

omg I know your pain. I’ve been trying to find Sandra… and I thought I was in luck when I went to see GOTG with a friend… until they handed me the bottle and it said “Xandra” instead. Tears.
I checked the list of names for the US, and we don’t even have a Sandra. We have a Sandy instead. :( The UK site shows a Sandra, though. Do you know if your name is available where you’re at?
Anyway, I know it’s not the same, but I made you this.
Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard —- they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten people, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them.
(In no particular order…outside of number one)
- The Outsiders - S.E. Hinton
- Chocolate Fever - Robert Kimmel Smith
- Say Hello, Vanessa - Marjorie Weinman Sharmat
- The Harry Potter series - J.K. Rowling
- Cotillion - Georgette Heyer
- The Monster at the End of This Book - Jon Stone
- Lessons of a Scarlet Lady - Emma Wildes
- Ramona Quimby, Age 8 - Beverly Cleary
- The Mischief of the Mistletoe - Lauren Willig
- The Julian Kestrel Mysteries - Kate Ross
Half of the list is books I read and loved as a child. I feel that those books were instrumental in developing my love of reading. (And in the case of Say Hello, Vanessa, made a shy child feel like she wasn’t alone.)
Five Random Facts/Things
I was tagged by imgoingtodrinkmymugoftea :D

- I saw Thor: The Dark World six times in the theater, beating my previous record of five times watching The Avengers.
- I have four Lokis (out of a total 8), three Winter Soldiers, one Thor, one Hawkeye, one Thorin, and one Striker Eureka on my desk at the moment (a small portion of my action figure/funko pop/other figures collection).

nooooooo D: I’m sorry love I hope you can get online again soon ;;
Thanks! I can still be online, it’s just that the length of time will be determined by my frustration level with this with this netbook. Heh.

Try buying refurbished. It’s not brand new, but they are usually cheaper and they come with Window 7. That’s what I did when I got my laptop.
I was actually on walmart.com last night looking at refurbished comps. You’ve had no problems with yours?

nooooooo. but windows 8 isn’t that bad just ignore the app stuff and use your desktop like normal. but noooooo.
Thank you! I am still so distraught, ugh. I’m going to look into windows 8 a little bit more before I decide what to do. I have some software I bought years ago that I’d be pretty lost without, and I live in fear that I’ll finally come across a version of windows that it won’t work on. I know it’ll work on windows 7.

glad to hear you’re okay! I didn’t know that’s where you are from… The storms are apparently heading to NC over the next couple of days
Thank you! :D Hopefully the storms won’t be as severe when they get to you!
Q:Today's your birthday right? Happy birthday to you!! I'm sorry I couldn't get you Tom Hiddleston, but maybe someone else succeeded. :) All jokes aside: I hope you're having a lovely day! *hugs*

Thanks! Me too! *hugs*
You did, a bit ^^ Well I’ll keep my eye out for it and give it a try if I remember. Thank you :D
I knew I did, and I’m so sorry. It’s just that while I’m not overly fond of the show anymore, I still appreciate her performance, I guess is what I’m trying to say. If that helps any…
I gave up after the second episode. I couldn’t handle the accent.
JRM’s American accent? Yeeeeeah, it’s not the best, I agree.
Renfield is glorious <3 I started watching the show with exactly zero expectations, so I kind of enjoy it now. Better than I feared it would be. (Granted, my fondness for vampires helps…)
I didn’t have high expectations either, and I’ve loved anything vampire related since I was a child. Annnnnnd, it’s not the worst show I’ve ever watched, but it’s just not…I don’t know. I can’t seem to connect to or feel anything for any of the characters (outside of Renfield, of course). Well, I mean, I do feel badly at the way both Lucy and Harker** are being manipulated, but I’m not overly emotionally invested in them.
**I know that Harker gets a lot of hate, and I can’t say I agree with everything he’s done, but he is being manipulated by Dracula.
Not really recommended then? :/ I was considering watching it for Katie McGrath (Lucy). but judging by your reaction, it might be best to stick to Tumblr gifsets?
I would say watch an episode or two and see what you think. It’s not a terrible show, it’s just not all that great, either (in my opinion, of course). Katie actually really does a fantastic job, and her character has a pretty heartbreaking story arc. Plus at ten episodes, it’s not a long commitment, either. And I probably just confused you even more, didn’t I?
i have no idea why i’m still watching it either. but like you said there’s only a few eps left.
I started out really enjoying it, and then somewhere along the way I realized I just wasn’t anymore. You know? :\

Yeah I’ll be skipping this one then. Thanks for the warning ^^
Yes, you’re very welcome. Stay away. Stay far, far, far away from this movie. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR AWAY.
thorified replied to your post “So, there’s this movie on SyFy right now Called ‘Almighty Thor’. The…”
I’ve seen the DVDs of this around. It never did look like a good movie, but now I’m glad I’ve decided against taking a gamble Owch. Thor: Tales Of Asgard, an animated movie, on the other hand, is somewhat nice should you ever want to watch more Thor.
Thanks! I was just flipping around the channels last night and stumbled across this one. It was like more than half over, and I couldn’t even watch it with the sound on because the horrible dialogue plus the acting was just uuugggghhhhhhhhhh.
